Timing containers. We will either be in the top or bottom. The arguement continues between us and the Red Bull blog team.
The view from behind the finish on the cat walk over the highway. The timing 'container' can be seen in the middle of the picture.
This looks to be about 45 degrees, straight down.

The finish eye mounted. Wait till you see the one we use at the start. :)
Just a look up hill. The radar gun is uphill about 100m. If I slipped (2 pics earlier), I would have just rocketed right by this point.
Me... standing on the track. This is where the guy manning the radar gun will stand. Although it doesn't look steep, or slick, believe me it is. One step wrong and I will be very quickly transported a few blocks down hill.
The track looks great... Not sure about the model I used. This gives you a great view of the 'chicane' which is about a 45 degree drop into a hard right turn. They had to reinforce the boards at the bottom as they could not initially hold up to the racer impacts.
Next time you can't align a finish eye, imagine my view here. I have to climb in on my side and carefully align the finish eye.
